ARTEMAS är’ tə məs (̓Αρτεμᾶς, G782, contracted form of ̓Αρτεμίδωρος, gift of Artemis). One of two men whom Paul contemplated sending as a replacement for Titus on Crete (Titus 3:12). He must have been a co-worker of considerable ability and experience.
Tradition makes him bishop of Lystra.
