Faith At Work
By Jamell Meeks
We may say we have faith; but, far too frequently, the faith we claim is not reflected in our deeds. When we determine to stand on God’s Word in faith, we must be diligent to ensure our resolve does not fade before we finish our task. We must guard against fruitless faith—faith without works. Faith cannot be merely words or grand beliefs; it must be carried out in our actions. Colossians 3:23 says, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” Our attitudes and actions in the workplace may seem inconsequential, but that perception can be a damaging and dangerous view. We are to render all service, including the duties and expectations of our employment, as unto the Lord. We must realize all aspects of our lives are demonstrations to others of our faith in God. My dear sister, be a faithful representative of our Lord by reporting to work on time with a good attitude. Complete your tasks to the best of your ability. Show forth to others a faith that works!
